Improving mental health with creativity
Cambridge Community Arts have supported over 1500 transformative journeys, with more than 50 creative practitioners across 21 different artforms in 32 community venues across Cambridge.
Cambridge Community Arts builds community, connections and confidence through creativity. Founded in 2014 by Jane Rich, our vision is of healthier communities empowered by their own creativity.
We provide a wide range of quality arts courses, led by inspiring and professional artists - giving an inclusive opportunity for everyone to grow and express themselves in a safe, respectful space that is welcoming and non-judgemental. Individual coaching supports the next stage of the journey towards work or volunteering.
“If I didn’t have my course to look forward to each week, I would have crumbled. I have been able to meet new friends, develop all sorts of skills and crucially, build up my confidence in a safe & supportive environment. Cambridge Community Arts encouraged me to be more in control of myself & what I can do. They enabled me to believe in myself again. The isolation that I had suffered for so many years eased away.”
